Sage 50 and Sage Micropay Customer Success Story
My name is David Brennan; I am the financial accountant in Hooper Dolan Insurance Group based here in Waterford. Hooper Dolan Insurances was established here in Waterford in 1978, it’s now grown to be one of the largest broker chains in Ireland. We have ten offices nationwide spread from Waterford to Killarney up as far as Letterkenny in Donegal. We sell a wide range of insurance policies from home, motor to all types of business insurance.
Staff at Pimbrook – they are very helpful, friendly; their knowledge of their software is excellent, any problems we’ve had they’ve always strived to find a solution, office visits are never a problem. We chose Sage 50 – Sage is an international brand name, well known. Before Hooper Dolan, I’ve worked in a practice and of all the accountancy packages that we worked with Sage was probably one of the better ones.
We use Sage 50 for our accounts for all of the ten offices, so our nominal ledgers are recorded in Sage. For the larger offices then we use the supplier system so our supplier invoices, supplier payments are recorded on Sage. Also from a regulatory point of view for the insurance industry, we have to record all client bank activity. Sage Micropay is very user friendly; there’s a lot of features in it that save time, the fact that we have 150 employees to be paid monthly. We have integrated with our bank so payment files are created, also it’s integrated with Revenue Online, so tax details for all of our employees, as we are notified are downloaded.
