When most people think of Netflix- Orange is the New Black springs to mind. Piper Chapman, at least prior to her incarceration would possibly be an ideal candidate for Sage 200 Online. She’s an executive with a high flying career and a fiancé so the life is fast is furious.
So she needs:

  • Speed
  • Reliability
  • Ease of use
  • 24/7 access to her data

As she’s in PR, she needs accurate billing for her clients- no problem.
The fourth season of “Orange Is the New Black,” which premiered recently on Netflix, goes down a unique new path, opening itself up like never before to the world outside the prison walls.
A little like Sage 200 online so….. except for the prison bit.  Sage released this product in response to the increasing need for a flexible, user friendly online solution big enough to cope with instant insight into the business with powerful Excel reporting tools that help analyse trends and business performance.

Piper, I’m sure, also has dreams of building tomorrows billion “dollar” business when she gets out.  Thankfully this product is one of the only ones on the market that has the engine that makes expanding the back office a walk through an empty cell block.

Interestingly Litchfield prison is turning into a for-profit institution. This seems like an improvement from the disinterest and shortage of government funding, but capitalism is by nature about natural selection.  And the ethogram of the for profit against the not for profit should stay the same.
There’s bound to be the haves and the have-nots. And decisions won’t necessarily be made in the best interest of the inmates, but rather based on what makes sense for the bottom line.
Just as well they also have Sage 200 online so…….
