New Release of AccountsMate (enhanced Sage 50 enquiry tool) for October 2022
The most recent release of our enhanced Sage 50 enquiry tool – AccountsMate is now available. This is free to all our clients that have Sage 50 support.

Sage 50 critical update due end of September 2022
Sage are applying a critical update at the end of September 2022 which will stop Sage 50 cloud version 26.2 and older from working.
So it is vital that all Sage 50 cloud users are on a supported version.

So remember;

If you are using Sage 50 cloud version 26.2 or older you must update before the 30th of September.
TASBooks to Sage 50 Migration free for Pimbrook Clients
TASBooks is approaching its end of life with no new development being carried out and it is starting to struggle to work on the new Windows operating systems and computers (see our related article – TASBooks Issues on Latest Operating Systems
So it is important to consider where you will go after TASBooks. One of the better options is to upgrade to Sage 50 and Pimbrook can off this free of charge to any client that takes out a support contract with us. TASBooks Issues on Latest Operating Systems
We are receiving several reported issues with Microsoft and TASBooks. i.e.
- Failures when emailing with MS Outlook
- Errors when exporting to MS Excel
As TAS Books is approaching end of life with no further development happening, we want to advise you that any upgrade of your operating system may leave you without some fundamental functions in your software. And unfortunately, even with the expertise in our team we may not be able to resolve these.

New rates for the Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS) will take effect from February 2022.

Sage 50cloud version 26.2 or below will not work beyond Spring 2022
Sage has announced a Critical Software Update for Sage 50cloud, stating that they
“are making some essential security updates to Sage 50cloud Accounts in Spring 2022 which means that anyone running Sage 50cloud Accounts v26.2 or below will not be able to use their software beyond this time”
It is thus essential that you check you are using a later version of Sage 50cloud and if not, that you arrange to have this updated as soon as possible.
