AccountsMate – Repairing an Installation

Your AccountsMate install may need to be repaired because it may be corrupted (e.g. due to a damaged to the pc or windows). The following are the steps recommended.

Repair Installation

The first option to try is a repair of the installation. Do this by

  1. Open Add/Remove Programs from Windows.
  2. Choose AccountsMate from list and Select Modify.
  3. Choose the option to Repair.
  4. Follow the instructions.

If this fails to fix the installation, the next step is to fully remove and reinstall the application, see below.

Remove and Reinstall

If the repair did not work (as above) you will need to remove the AccountsMate application fully from the PC and reinstall it.

Prerequisites

Warning: Settings and layouts may be lost from your installation by doing this. It is advised to backup the                                              following  areas before proceeding.

  • The AccountsMate install area – normally C:\Program Files (x86)\PTServices
  • The application user data – e.g. C:\Users\[user.name]\AppData\Local\PTServices

Ensure you have the install string and installation software before proceeding. If not contact Pimbrook Support.

Remove the Application

  1. Open Add/Remove Programs from Windows.
  2. Choose AccountsMate from list and Select Uninstall.
  3. Follow the instructions.
