Error Installing Sage Payroll – ‘Failed to install Webview 2 Components – insufficient diskspace on the client install

The error I got was at the end of the install ‘Failed to install Webview 2 Components – insufficient diskspace on the client install.

AV, Firewall, and UAC’s were turned off and we were loggedon as Domain Administrator.

Dataloc file was amended to IP address.   New Standalone install was done and same thing.

 

Sage were unable to confirm if this was only related to  MyCapture and just said its related to URL connections.

They got me to do a UK payroll fix as this error also occurs also on Sage UK payroll.

 

The issue in my case was:

Incorrect permissions on the below folders.

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage SBD\SBDDesktop\v12\SBDDesktop.exe.
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage SB\D WebView2\EBWebView

Fix:

1. Copy the WEBView2 loader.dll from the Sage payroll program directory to the c:\program file x86\common files\sage SBD\SBDDesktop\v12
2. Once done, ensure permissions to both the above folders are correct.
3. Open Sage Payroll,  once open it will re create any missing files or folders in above location.
